The cyclonic storm “WARD” was about 250 km East of Trincomalee at 1200 noon today(13th ) is likely to move closer to the Northern parts of the island and intermittent rain with strong winds will be experienced during the next thirty six hours especially in the Northern, North Central,
Eastern and North-western provinces. Heavy showers are also likely at some places.
Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces will also experience showers at several places and fairly strong winds.
Intermittent showers, strong winds and very rough conditions will be experienced in the northern and eastern seas and in the Gulf of Mannar.
